Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 11 May 2026

This policy sets the boundaries of acceptable activity on DocChase. It supplements the Terms of Service.

1. You must not use DocChase to

  • Send unsolicited marketing or contact people you have no legitimate business relationship with (in breach of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth))
  • Harass, threaten, or harm any person — including aggressive debt collection
  • Impersonate another person or business, or send messages that are misleading or deceptive
  • Upload, request, or transmit content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or pornographic
  • Upload malware, viruses, or content designed to compromise systems
  • Attempt to access another workspace's data, probe our systems, or perform unauthorised penetration testing
  • Resell, rebrand, or sublicence DocChase without written agreement
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or automate the platform beyond rate limits we publish

2. Australian anti-spam compliance

DocChase sends emails and SMS from your business, to recipients you provide. You must have inferred or express consent from each recipient under the Spam Act. Existing accounting / bookkeeping client relationships generally meet this standard; cold prospect lists do not.

Every message includes a clear sender identity and an unsubscribe / opt-out path, as the Spam Act requires.

3. Content responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content of templates, custom messages, and any documents your clients upload. DocChase does not pre-screen content but may remove material that breaches this policy.

4. Fair use of the service

Unlimited requests are subject to fair-use thresholds (e.g. no more than 10,000 outbound messages per day per workspace without prior notice). We will contact you before any limit is enforced.

5. Reporting abuse

Email abuse@docchase.com.au. We investigate every report within 2 business days.

6. Enforcement

Breaches may result in warning, content removal, account suspension, or termination, depending on severity.
